Open Bookies

    Affiliate Disclosure

How OpenBookies makes money, and how it does not affect our coverage.

    Last updated: 20 May 2026

    1. The short version

OpenBookies contains affiliate links. If you click one and then register, deposit or transact with the linked operator, we may receive a commission. You pay nothing extra, and this revenue is what keeps the Site free to use.

    2. Who we are

openbookies.com is operated by S B Developments (North East) Ltd (company number 08284564), registered at Comma House, Napier Road, Swalwell, Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom, NE16 3BS. We are independent and not owned by any gambling operator.

    3. What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a tracked link to a third party (such as a bookmaker or online casino). When you click an affiliate link, the destination operator can tell that the click came from us. If you then sign up or place a bet, we may earn a commission. Different operators pay in different ways — for example a flat fee per registration ("CPA"), a share of the operator's net gaming revenue, or a fixed advertising fee.

    4. Editorial independence

    We commit to the following:

    • Accuracy first. Opening times, addresses and shop information are drawn from publicly available sources (including Google Places) and are not paid placements.
    • Commercial relationships do not buy positive reviews. A higher commission does not earn an operator a better ranking, a better star rating, or more favourable copy.
    • We label commercial content. Promotional cards, "offer" panels and outbound links to operators are clearly identifiable as betting offers.
    • We follow UK advertising rules. Our gambling content is intended for adults aged 18 or over and is written to comply with the UK CAP/BCAP codes administered by the ASA.

    5. Safer gambling comes first

We will always sign-post safer gambling support alongside commercial offers. Please read our Safer Gambling page for tools and helplines. If you, or someone you know, is harmed by gambling, call the free National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133.

    6. Bonuses and offers — read the small print

Welcome offers and promotions advertised on the Site are provided by the relevant operator, not by OpenBookies. Wagering requirements, minimum odds, qualifying bets, eligible markets, time limits and other conditions apply. Always read the operator's full terms before claiming an offer. Offers can change or be withdrawn at any time.

    7. Country and licensing

OpenBookies covers betting shops and operators across the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. Retail bookmakers in the Republic of Ireland are licensed by the Revenue Commissionersunder the Betting Act, with the new Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland taking on wider oversight. Northern Ireland bookmakers are licensed by the Department for Communities. We only feature listings for operators we believe to hold appropriate retail or remote gambling licences in their jurisdiction.

    7a. Great Britain regulator

The Site is aimed at users in the United Kingdom. Every UK-facing gambling operator we link to should hold a valid operating licence from the Gambling Commission. Always confirm an operator's licence status before depositing funds.

    8. Affiliate links and your data

Clicking an affiliate link may pass limited technical data — such as the referring URL and a click identifier — to the destination operator and the affiliate network running the campaign. This is necessary to attribute the click. For full detail see our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

    9. Tell us if something looks wrong

If you spot a broken affiliate link, an out-of-date offer, or anything you think breaches the UK advertising codes, please email contact@openbookies.com. We will investigate and correct it.
